In an odd little corner in Studio City, next to a gas station and just a few blocks from CBS Studio Center sits Royalty Juice Bar and Cafe. It took me a couple of passes in my car before I realized this was the place I had been looking for after hearing about the delicious sandwiches and juices this family-owned store creates.
What a delight this place is! As soon as you walk up to the counter, the owner warmly greets you and helps guide first-timers through the variety of choices. Everything is made from scratch with the freshest of ingredients. Being in the food and fruit business for over 20 years, owners Tony and Anna know what they are doing.
My favorite is the String Cheese Wrap (not pictured here as I ate it too fast). It has all sorts of deliciousness in it (vegetables, herbs, cheese – yum!). I try to order something different, but I always end up at least splitting this wrap with a friend who graciously chooses something else in an effort to help me shake things up. An added delight, no guilt feelings for eating a lot as the goal of this place is to provide healthy gourmet sandwiches, salads, soups and juices. Speaking of juices, I like to wash down my wrap with a freshly made Green Goddess juice drink. Who doesn’t want to be a part of something called Goddess?
They have a small flower shop in the back with some beautiful and unique arrangements at the ready, but the food is what keeps me coming back. Once you eat here, you will be hooked. Find out more about them at their website www.royaltyjuicebarandcafe.com.
I have eaten at Royalty and loved it. I can’t remember what it was I had… something with cheese no doubt… but I do remember that it was yummy!
You cannot go wrong with any of their choices…especially if cheese is involved!
