You know the drill: first comes the scratchy throat then a runny nose followed by an irritating cough and next stop…bed for a few days, yuck! This was one dance I didn’t want to partake in (dancing, even on a good day, is not my strong suit) when I felt the first “tingles” of a sore throat. Luckily I have learned of a few sore throat busters if you catch it early enough.
“Do you hear what I hear?” That is a nice song lyric, but not what you want an airport doctor to ask you in what sounds like a muffled voice. However, I found myself answering that question with some trepidation as I learned I would be “grounded” in Sydney, Australia for an unspecified amount of time.

The Lacy Park Stairs are nestled among bougainvillea plants and beautiful homes in San Marino, California. I stumbled upon them as my husband and I were bike riding through the neighborhood. He was easily cruising up the never ending slope of the street we were on while I was panting and searching for any break spots (this seems to be a pattern with us). When I noticed the steps my mind began to race, “This could be my new exercise ‘club’!”
