It’s a Wrap!

Wrap_CoverI really enjoy a good wrap whether it be food, blankets, sweaters, scarves…almost anything except rap music. I haven’t found my groove with that art form yet. Anyway, I wanted to share my latest wrap sandwich recipe with you all. It is fast, easy and tastes delicious.

What you will need:

Wrap_Ingredients

  • lavash wraps
  • hummus
  • ground turkey
  • avocado
  • tomato
  • spinach
  • white nectarine
  • parmesan cheese

Cooking time is roughly 15 minutes (and clean up is even faster). Here is how I did it…

  1. Cook ground turkey in a pan on the stove top adding seasoned salt and pepper to taste. Set aside when cooked.
  2. While the ground turkey is cooking, dice your tomato, avocado and white nectarine (try not to eat all the white nectarine before you get them in the wraps, they are delicious).
  3. Chop your spinach (I just grabbed a handful of spinach, washed it, squeezed the water out with a paper towel which left the spinach in a ball that I then chopped).
  4. Get your parmesan cheese and hummus ready (although hummus is easy to make, store-bought hummus is even easier).

Next up is layering your wrap.

Wrap_StuffI suggest starting with a layer of hummus and then the ground turkey as it helps the turkey stay in place then build from there. However, you cannot restrict an artist when he/she is creating a masterpiece so just go for it. I do suggest topping your wrap with a shot of seasoned salt (we really like Spike seasoning, but use whatever you like) for added zing.

Wrap_RollViolà, it’s a wrap! Go forth and enjoy.

P.S. Please excuse the slightly shaky pictures, once again my hand got to shaking when I was around food. What can I say? I love food!

  1. You did not go into much cleaning details, I assume you left this for Seppo?
